I have a dell E521 tower with an amd processor. i have to antivirus programs & now my cpu freeze

my computer has two antivirus programs a trial of mcafee and kaspersky version 6.0. after i installed it my cpu started acting up and freezing about a minute after i turn it on. i have tried to uninstall using the add remove programs but it wont load up a list of my programs and will freeze. i need help, so what should i do? and it takes for ever to open anything and well, most of the time just freeze. so if u have any solutions please help me out. thanks.

Use only one antivirus program--the same applies to firewall. When you have two antivirus programs (or two firewalls), they conflict with one another and slow your computer way down.

But you should have multiple (anti)spyware programs--these will compliment one another.

Try to open one of the antivirus programs by clicking on its icon in the notification area to the left of the clock (lower right corner of the desktop). With the program open, look for way to turn it off.

You could try to format your Hard Drive.

That will get rid of all the Viruses/Problems.

If you have a computer from about 5 years to now, most likely it has a "System Recovery" option at the boot up.

That will install you OS back and all the applications your computer came with the first place.

I've tried it.

If you computer does NOT have the option then your computer must have come with recovery CD's.

Try That.
