Hi everyone, I have DSL through verizon but I also have AOL. AOL is offering free antivirus through MCFEE. Does it protect the same? or is it better if I pay for something else instead?
Thanks
What's a good antivirus for my PC?network security
I have listed a few antivirus, anti spyware and firewall applications that are available for download and are completely free: I will not get involved with the rights and wrongs of each package or its effectiveness or indeed the 鈥淭his is best鈥?or 鈥淭his is crap鈥?statements. Whatever you do, just make sure you have one of each type installed, updated and fully working:

McAfee is a good software, so if you get it for free use it, make sure you have anti-spyware installed as well.
Yes, the McAfee anti-virus through AOL is good enough to protect the average Internet user but it's certainly not the best.
