How do we uninstall norton antivirus from pc?

we are trying to install new printer all in one but it says we have to disable norton antivirus

You don't need to UNINSTALL Norton AntiVirus.

Open the Norton program by clicking on the icon in the task bar or from the list under Programs.

Then click on SETTINGS, then change AutoProtect to OFF.

Be sure to turn it back on after installion is complete for the printer.

Oh no don't unistall it just go to the bottom of your screen and left click on the anti-virus icon, the click on, disable, then a screen will pop up and ask for how long say about 5 min. should be enough time. Yeah don't uninstall it that would be a pain.
Please don't uninstall NAV. Just disable, it will bypass the firewall that is blocking the Printer install. And, by the way, all the IDIOTS that told you to un-install, forgot to mention that Norton has it's own un-install program ( you need to download- the un-install inside the NAV program doesn't do it ) to completely remove NAV from the PC. Been there, done that !!!!
just click on norton icon at system tray and disable it
go to control panel, add/remove progrms, uninstall norton, restart, go to download.com download AVG free. That is free antivirus software. then install your driver.

That's DISABLE, not UNINSTALL. Click on the Norton Antivirus icon and look for a way to turn it off for a few minutes while the installation runs. Then turn it back on.
When you disable it, you are not supposed to uninstall it.
Start%26gt;Settings%26gt;Control Panel%26gt;Add/Remove Programs%26gt;Click on Norton and click uninstall, or change/remove.

Then, go to download.com and do a search for AVG, download and install AVG Antivirus free edition, it's soooooo much better than Norton, and sooooo much less annoying.
