(Avast (Home edition(free)) is the only anti virus which on my PC has tracked every single virus. I tried norton (many times it failed especially when the virus was on a pendrive(usb v1.1 @ 124 kb/s) (it usually ended up locking my system despite its high system specs) ,macafee (Slowed the startup and boot up times), avg (took too long to startup and at times failed to update unless the system was restarted )

Hi none are really trustworthy. My son 16, deleted the Norton because it made it run too slow and put in the AVG and haven't had any problems and it is a free program. Now I also have Spy Sweeper by Webroot and that I pay for and the computer is running smoother and doesn't run like a turtle anymore.
u can try McAfee but i would suggest paying few dollars and getting Norton's latest Antivirus rather than going for the risk of getting infected bu using a free ware which has a limited protection both in terms of no of viruses as well as time period
