Will Microsoft Defender and CA Vet Antivirus conflict with each other if both are installed and running on my computer? They have similar functions, which is why I thought there might be a problem.

You should have only one Anti Virus program running on your computer or it will conflict and give you false readings. More then one Anti Spyware program usually don't confict put sometimes they do

CA Vet - Antivirus program.
Not the same your OK, you can run up to three antispyware programs but only one Antivirus program.
having two protection softwares can make your system lose its stability i think you should use CA insted
NO windows defender is a spyware software and CA is a antivirus.
