I have installed Norton antivirus, and i realized it slows dow when i try to start up my windows and shutting down my windows. Is it true this cozed by Norton

Norton slows everything down. Any antivirus program will, but Norton makes it REALLY slow.

I would not use it, there are much better alternatives out there, like Avast! or AVG.

Yes, that is correct but you can speed up this by increasing

your RAM to say 1 Giga Bit.
yes,its true.it performs level 2 scans at start up and shutdown.if you so prefer,it even performs scans when starting programs.so make sure you have atleast 512 mb of ram when you install norton antivirus.
