Have you gone to add/remove programs in control panel. find antivirus and delete that way. Also you can download a site for free called AVG free just run a search for AVG free and download that progam, it may override your previous antivirus progam, but try add/remove progams first and then download avg. good luck hun

if uninstalling it doesnt help... then save ur data (make a backup) .. and format your computer :)
