How can I tell it I have antivirus?

I have Trend Micro Internet sercurity but, Windows Security Center says I do not have antivirus protection?product key

Sp2 may not see it . I for one do not use it so not 100% sure , the fix is simply go into the sp2 firewall and change the option to i have a anitvirus software i will monitor my self

It happens. Not just to Trend Micro but any anti-virus program. The good news is that it means Trend Micro isn't 'duff'. The bad news is that, because it's not just an issue affecting Trend, and it's not common, they may not have an answer. But try contacting Trend anyway.

If you don't get any joy from them, you could try this but at your own risk (shouldn't do any even if it doesn't cure it):

1. Open a Command Prompt by clicking on Start-%26gt;Run, entering "CMD.EXE" as the name of the program to run, and click on the OK button. The Command Prompt window will appear.

2. In the Command Prompt window, type "NET STOP WINMGMT /Y" and press Enter.

3. Type "REN %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\WBEM\REPOSITORY %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\WBEM\REP.OLD" and press Enter.
