It seems to take my antivirus program hours and hours to do a complete scan, and watching it, it seems to be mostly temporary internet files it is scanning...I dont want to be deleting files if it will harm my pc....or should i have a professional do it...if at all.
Can i delete temporary internet files to save space on my computer and help my antivirus scan work faster?triumph
In IE click tools / internet options / delete files (eventually check also the box "delete all offline content") / ok
Also delete cookies and clear history the same way.

Of course it'll make some space and save time. Tools%26gt;internet options%26gt; temp int files%26gt;delete cookies and delete files then press ok...it helps computer not hurts..hmmm..those are places on your computer you have looked at, you don't need them:)You also might want to try Allprograms%26gt; System tools%26gt; Disk defragmenter..hmmm..set it up before bed and leave running overnight , this should be done at least once a month to speed things up on your PC...these things have helped me anyways..good luck!!:)
yes, open your explore, go to temp internet files and delete them. I dont think it will make much difference on your space or scan since those files are usually not that large
Delete them as the others have said. It is also a good idea to lower the size of your Temp Internet Files folder to prevent this problem from occuring again. The default windows setting is based on a percentage of your hard drive size,I believe, and with todays larger hard drives, it is simply too large.
Go to tools %26gt; internet options %26gt; general tab %26gt; Temp internet files settings and move the slider to the left. I use 100 mb and that works well for me.
Good luck.
Click on TOOLS.
Click on INTERNET OPTIONS.
CLICK ON TEMPORARY FILES (or something like that).
Go from there.
Hope this helps.
