Is Symantec antivirus a good antivirus for your computer?

I have it but im not really sure if it sweeps the whole system clean. I also got Windows Vista and it just takes about 20 min to clean the whole system because i have a new Hard drive.

It's a good product but it is resource heavy so it takes a lot of RAM. As for 20 minutes to scan everything, that isn't too bad. You can configure your scans to skip certain folders and sectors to try and help speed it up though if you prefer.

Personally I don't use Norton or any product that they have.

Norton is a system hog, and in order to get it off your system 100% you have to DOWNLOAD their removal tool. Now, why type of company is that? That makes you go download another piece of software to remove their product. Which by the way, does not say anything on the package about revomal instruction.

As for your hard drive, wait till you get some programs on it and see how long it takes.

yea Symantec antivirus is good it keep hackers and virus off your computer and you got defragment your computer
Symantec is not a bad one if you have the real version (not a trial) becuase the trial version is not very efficient. However, there are better antivirus softwares available.

I've been using Symantec for years and never had issues. Just don't get the Internet security stuff, just go for the basic Antivirus and you'll be fine.
