sophos and webroot are the same company and I suggest that you try to avoid them, you can download the free version of avg free or the pctools antivirus and obtain very good results, I also suggest the spyware doctor to add to your arsenal

sophos is good because it collates most anti spyware information on the web. However in my personal opinion Kasperesky Internet suite is the best one around since it does not take much system memory and is reasonably priced. You might be lucky to pick a free version with popular pc mags.

Stay away from norton/symantec/mcafee if you value your sanity.
