If I use free antivirus, anti-spyware, firewall, etc., is it as efficient as a paid bundle?

Some paid bundles are expensive - some even reaching 40 to 50 dollars. They're all in one internet protection, but each specific function they offer can be found free in different software companies like AVG for antivirus %26 spyware, Zonealarm for firewall %26 spy blocker and Sophos for anti-rootkit.

My opinion... YES! And AVG is no resource hog like Norton for example. Here what I use...

Windows Fire Wall

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition is a free anti-virus protection tool developed by GRISOFT for home use. Get it here %26gt; http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?d...

Ad-Aware 2007 Free continues the Lavasoft tradition and spirit by providing a no-strings-attached, full powered free anti-spyware product that is safe, thorough, and easy to use.: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?d...

SpyBot-S%26D searches your hard drive for so-called spy- or adbots; little modules that are responsible for the ads many programs display: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?d...

LoL.....you don;t need all those answers below....you just need Norton 360, it does everything. Trust me....your computer will run better. Good luck
I have been using computer over 20 years. Believe me get the freebies... It takes a bit of effort to run them but they are free and will be less taxing ob your system.
