How do I get rid of Norton Antivirus traces ?

I want to install Panda Antivirus but it refuses to install saying y must get rid of Norton Antivirus first, I uninstalled Norton already.

Go to the norton website and download the uninstall software
i had norton, it came with the computer. it slowed my reboots unmercifully. when i decided to go with mcafee, i had to go to a norton tool website to obtain a program that would get it out completely.

it seems that if you try to delete it, it scatters and hides. which i guess is what it was designed to do, if someone unauthorized was trying to jam you up.

i would call norton, they will tell you where to go for that removal program.
To completely remove Norton products (which MUST be removed completely before installing any other A-V)

Try Revo Uninstaller. It is freeware that will search root files and allow for complete uninstalls.

Umm...maybe you just went to your hard drive and just deleted it.

Try going in to control panel, then add and remove programs and delete from there.
