i need to get rid of these damn viruses and was wondering what is the best product to get rid them? is norton antivirus the best or mcafee? what do you recommend

AVG at grisoft.com its free and it works goooood
I have to agree, Norton and McAffee are nothing but bloatwear that will slow your comp down no end.

While the grisoft free is probably the best free antivirus i highly reccomend upgrading to the full security suite. Has everything, spyware remover, spam filter, phishing filter, anti virus and firewall.

Hi i will talk about each of them :

1. Norton antivirus: is goo in detecting viruses and he can do many things in the same time specially the 2007 version (firewall, antivirus and anti spayware) but :::: he is so heavy on your computer cause he take much from memory.... and the big problem that i tried it before with special kinds of virus and he couldn't do anything with it (when the main services in windows is infected like SVCHost ....). so don't even try to use it.
