How do i remove norton antivirus from my notebook. I can not find it in Add/Romove Programs?

i think i didn't install my antivirus propelly and now i can not remove it. I can not find the program anywhere on my pc

The easiest option is to install it properly, follow the instructions, and the Uninstall programme should be available. There may be a tool on the Symantec site to help you remove it or you could go through the dangerous procedure of manual deletion and registry editing but I wouldn't recommend it.

If you use the msconfig command (Start %26gt; Run %26gt; type "msconfig") you can stop Norton and it's services at startup and then hopefully install a new anti-virus programme.

If you have a restoration point at a time before you (er) installed Norton you may (only a possibility) be able to go back to then.

You will need to install a activex control first before they let you run the tool.

*****Do not try System restore it will NOT work, do not find any uninstall file, it will NOT work as well.

This is a very bad situation, if u change anything, symantec cannot help u*****

Tianhaw has it right, please remember that Symatec does not want to leave your system, and they will help you uninstall, but not unless you have left it alone. They must do it from STEP 1.
